Every single day, your generosity partners with leaders across Africa to serve the most vulnerable. The second quarter of 2025 is now behind us, which means it’s time to take a look at your impact in action:

Thank you for making home possible for Africa’s most vulnerable children and families.

Home Is Where Your People Are
I remember hearing this over 12 years ago: “Home is more than four walls and a roof…but it’s a great place to start.”
As a child who moved often—even across oceans—home became a who, not a what. It was wherever my people were. Where I felt safe. Accepted. Like I belonged.
This quarter, you helped 1,056 orphans, widows, and vulnerable families discover that same truth.
Your consistent support doesn’t just provide shelter and nutrition—it creates community. It builds the foundation where belonging can take root and grow.

Fana: Showing Up For More Than Food
Fana is 18 and has carried more than any teen should. From a young age he struggled to find his place, a reality that deepened after losing both of his guardians. Recently, he was expelled from school and started working on a farm just to get by.
But in these hardships, your support created something powerful: a safe space where he knew he belonged.
When he heard about a boys’ group at one of the after-school meal programs you fund, he took his first day off to attend. The group offered challenge and support—his peers called him to higher standards, and leaders created a safe space for him to simply be.
One day, he came and quietly sat under a tree. He didn’t bring a container or move toward the food—often his only hot meal. Children noticed and told the leaders. When they checked in, he said:
“No, I’m okay. I just came because I needed to think.”
That moment said everything: he showed up not just for food, but because he knew he was safe and belonged.
Your giving has created the stability that makes these moments possible every single day.

The Power of Showing Up
This only happens because of consistency. Because of community.
For many of us in this work, it can feel like we’re not doing enough. The needs are great, and belonging is hard to measure. But it’s real—for Fana, and for more than 1,000 others your generosity impacted this quarter.
You are part of an extended community of care—made up of peers, caregivers, leaders, churches, and businesses—coming together to care for the most vulnerable. It starts with a meal and opens the door to transformation.
Looking Ahead: How You Can Continue Building Home
Your partnership is working. Local leaders continue to express deep gratitude—not just for the meals, but for the relationships and stability your support makes possible.
Continue showing up through monthly giving. Monthly giving creates predictable funding for 2026 and beyond—helping local partners plan confidently, order supplies efficiently, and build deeper relationships with the families they serve.
Share the stories that move you. Help others understand that home truly is where your people are—and how you are helping create that for Africa’s most vulnerable.
With deep gratitude for making home possible,
