It was 2013, and Ailafo’s team from Ten Thousand Homes had been in South Africa for three months and in Eswatini for one month. Then, it was time to head to Malawi – but what lay between them and their destination was a 36-hour bus ride. The 4 things they knew were:
1. It would be long.
2. It was safe.
3. Dinner would be served on the bus.
4. There would be 3-4 breaks along the way.
As with all good stories, things didn’t quite go to plan.
