Across Africa, maize meal is a staple food. Although called by many names and prepared in a variety of ways through different regions, porridge made from ground corn is generally accompanied by a vegetable or meat stew. We’d like to invite you to join Lafo, one of our team members, as she learns how to prepare pap – South African style maize meal. She’s learning from the pros: Sylvia, Vuyisile, and Zodwa. These women are the heroes and master chefs of an after-school feeding program that your generosity supports.
