“Art takes you beyond survival to actually living!” -Paula Dubill
As a part of our training campus, University Village, Ten Thousand Homes has started a project teaching women to use their God-given creativity to sew purses, sling bags and other fun apparel.
By teaching a skill, we are directly combating apathy and poverty with hope. Students in the program receive a fair wage directly connected to the items they produce. The market’s demand for their products has been high and enables a motivated person to make much more than they would at an unskilled job with a daily wage.
We are developing a sewing room and a gift shop that will be key in broadening our capacity to bring Hope and Homes to the communities we serve in.
